Chroma
As humans, our idea of colour and the world is different. My piece holds the idea that no matter how the art is created, no two people will ever see the colours the same. Therefore, each viewer will see a different but unique version of the same photograph, which I think is kind of beautiful in its own way… The work is my own approach to double exposure, layering and merging Glow sticks with ink/food colouring for an abstract and playful feel to the frame. The name ‘Chroma’ is the purity or intensity of colour – which represents the range and scale of colours that will be seen by anyone who views it. As the print fades, the colour will get lighter which will also adapt the way the world sees the art – an ever changing piece in an ever changing world.
